The Wife of Bath is a character in the Canterbury Tales written by Geoffrey Chaucer (1343 - 1400). Alisoun is a large than life character in this group of pilgrims going to Canterbury. The story she tells is based on her experiences of being married five times. The design is based 15th century woodcut.
