"A Mon Seul Desir" - "For My Only Love". This rabbit is woven into the tapestry known as The Lady and the Unicorn (in the Cluny Museum.) The background of late 15th and early 16th century French & Flemish tapestries such as this were often filled with many hundreds of tiny flowers. This came to be known as mille-fleurs or thousand flowers.
