Price £38 (including UK Tracked post) for us to specially create a copy of this tile. The mould is retrieved from storage and set up for the press. The original rougher version.
Based on an unusual 14th century roof boss from the Chapter House of Wells Cathedral. During the 1980s an eagle-eyed Cathedral guide saw that one of the corbels high up in the Chapter House of Wells Cathedral was not just composed of ‘stiff leaf’ carving. Using binoculars, she saw that amongst the foliage was the figure of a young girl, who had remained hidden from view for hundreds of years! Holding her sheaf of flowers, and with her hair flowing freely amongst the leaves, she is really not a true ‘Green Lady’. But we all like to call the delicate featured figure by the name “Green Lady of Wells”.
