Doorkins - Southwark Cathedral's Cat

At Christmas 2008, a small hungry and cold cat appeared at the door of Southwark Cathedral in London. Named Doorkins Magnificat by the vergers who fed her, Doorkins made the Cathedral her home and has lived there since. She is very popular with visitors, congregation and guests and has even met the Queen! You can follow Doorkins on Twitter @Doorkins M
The cat sits proudly on a background of richly interwoven flowers, based on 15th century “Mille Fleur” tapestries.
